This is a genuine "behind the scenes" promotion. When Ricoh Corporation signed a ten year agreement with the US Postal Service (to be the exclusive provider of copiers) we created Digital Times. Ricoh wanted to introduce themselves to the hundreds of post office employees who are the day-to-day dealmakers in the lucrative arrangement.
Humorous copy is integrated with news-you-can-use features that summarize the copier agreement. There are observations that link the cultures of Ricoh and the USPS, and even a maze/game that leads a postal worker to a mailbox, and then to a Ricoh copier. Of course, he travels through snow, rain, heat and gloom of night.
We named the promotion, designed the logo and wrote the newsletter. For another side of this project, see the Ben Franklin poster.
