And now for something completely different: The SONY e3 editor's information kit
When home theatre was first introduced, one of the least understood innovations was surround sound. Everyone knew great stereo only needs two speakers, so why do the new systems need five?
To help explain the concept to magazine editors and writers, we designed and produced the SONY e3 info kit, sent to several dozen influential journalists. It combined a cute little living room model, complete with oriental rug, several stickers to show the proper placement of components, and two adorable miniature rear speakers. Playing with the set was practically irresistible, and in so doing, some important people learned to understand and write about the SONY e3 approach to the new technology.
